The Hillrose Lectures (14,000 words) – July 28-30, 2017, I had the privilege of leading a training conference at Hillrose Community Church in Hillrose, Colorado. It was a fabulous experience. The church invited our family to join them for three days of equipping in discipleship. The Hillrose believers love God’s Word and find great joy in learning how to apply it practically.
I taught six sessions. One on Friday evening, four on Saturday, and one on Sunday morning during the preaching service. My complete set of lecture notes for the conference are in this booklet, The Hillrose Lectures. I trust it will be a benefit to you, and that it will impact positively your relationships.
Here is the “dedication” to the book:
To my friends at Hillrose Community Church. You remind me of Jesus. He was a root out of dry ground. There was no beauty that we should desire Him. He was despised and rejected by others. Only when we tasted did we realize how amazing He is and refreshing He can be to the soul.
You are that picture of Jesus. People will pass by and only see a “root out of dry ground,” and many will never perceive the beauty that is within that building. But God will draw some. I pray that your light will always shine brightly in a place that desperately needs the transformation He offers.
You were a joy to serve. We laughed, cried, rejoiced, and made wonderful memories. My affection for the body of Christ is greater today because of you.
