Ep. 22 How to Enjoy Community on Our Facebook Page

RMlogo How to enjoy community on our Facebook page

Shows Main Idea – Dr. Berger’s books are an awesome compilation and thorough demonstration of how ineffective secular psychology and psychiatry are in really helping people to heal. Surprisingly engaging, this series of books is an indispensable tool for any clinician and care-giver who is also a professing Christian and wants to learn more about mental illness. – Dr. Christina Biester, M.D.

A Christian perspective on enjoying community on our Facebook page

Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy. Proverbs 27:6

Marketing gurus recommend controversy as a tool to generate traffic. I do not

Facebook, the angry medium where some use the ready-fire-aim method of discourse

No corrupting talk, but only such as is good for building up. Ephesians 4:29

Then there is Facebook

What this podcast is about: The only way community and public discourse will happen on my Facebook page.

I call Facebook the angry medium, the place where some people, who are prone to the “ready, fire, aim” method of discourse, sit in the cyber weeds, waiting to launch verbal grenades across the bow of someone’s Facebook (or most any other social media platform) page.

Also called, Drive-by Shooters.

While the world has no qualms or inhibitions about the ready, fire, aim method of public discourse, it is unbecoming of Christians.

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. – Ephesians 4:29
