Pornography addictions

    I am wondering what your stance is on spouses being addicted to pornography? Is it considered adulterous and if so, is that grounds for divorce?

    I’m glad you’re here. Thank you for your question.

    According to Jesus, lust is the same as adultery (Matthew 5:28). That’s pretty clear. Whether or not divorce is appropriate depends on several things.

    How long has this been going on? Did the person come clean on their own, or was the problem discovered? What has been his or her response since the disclosure? Do they want to be free? Is their church involved?

    Here are some articles about porn use. There’s a wide variety– I don’t know anything about the situation you’re referring to so I couldn’t give you anything specific. You will have to wade through and decide what applies. They will be helpful:
